Accessibility Its Impact On Small and Medium Sized Business

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) was made law in June 2005. Under the AODA, accessibility standards will be developed and implemented as regulations. All organizations in Ontario will have to comply, including the private sector. Every small and medium sized business in Ontario will find that it is affected by one or more sets of regulations.

This Project has been developed to provide small and medium sized enterprises in Ontario useful and supportive information about accessibility for people with disabilities and the new legislation, through an accessible and easy-to-use Website:

A study on the needs of socio-economically excluded individuals and how the need for financial capability building opportunities are being responded to in the community.

Financial Capability for Youth Announcement

A new three-year initiative coordinated by SEDI and funded by Ontario Trillium Foundation, called Financial Capability for Youth , begins to address youth debt by educating youth and youth serving agencies about financial capability.

Independent Living Accounts Final Report

The ILA demonstration was to measure the impacts of providing persons living within transitional housing facilities with a mix of financial and training incentives as a means of facilitating their entry into the mainstream housing and rental markets.
